"The Ill Foot of Brahma"

There is a cause behind this article, to educate people the background and the reason for the sorry state of dalits in our country. I would like to express the Socio-Economic-Political state of the Dalit community as "the Sorry state of Shudras & dalits in god's own country". Who were shudras and who are tagged as Dalit, how did they become untouchables and why is their Socio-Economic-Political state recovery not a reality in the 21st century. Even today there is suppression, there is acceptance and there are people who don't give a shit about it. But there are hand few people who stand-up for the underprivileged.

Earlier in the Vedic era, the society was classified into Varnas and the outcast people were termed as Dalit who were essentially the war criminals/hostages. The four traditional social classes of the society.The Root word for 'jati' is 'jan', which means Birth.And for Varna is 'Vri' which means one's occupation.

Shudras were meant to carry the dead animals, eat dead cow meat, forbidden to wander around in the public places, and they weren’t part of the society.

Their status was worse than the other slaves across the globe and their status is bad today where the other group of slaves progressed very well comparatively. Even though the state of Shudras was worse than the other slaves around the globe, Shudras & Dalits never made the Global list of slavery.They never got noticed in the past not being noticed today as well. But there is a kind of slavery which almost matches the conditions of dalits, "Peonage" which existed in the colonial period in the Latin America and Areas of Spanish rule.

Now it is very important to ask why is this age long system couldn't be abolished?

There are two major reasons to them, one is Suppression and the other one is acceptance. 

• There are People who still take the caste system very seriously with or without knowing the background of it. Those who still benefit from the caste system. They receive power & respect without the necessity of earning them.

• And there are people who are at the receiving end. Those who suffer from the caste system.They receive the suppression and the derogatories.

There are solutions to eradicate the caste system, at least the Shudra varna,
The people who are endorsing the idea of suppression should accept & understand that god didn't classify us by birth but humans did. Respect and superiority is to be earned not meant to be inherited. And suppressing a class of people just to feel superior is wrong,cruel and Inhuman.

Those who are accepting the suppression should also understand & accept that god didn't classify us by birth but humans did. Awareness & Education would uplift them not miracles. They should carry on with the self-Respect movement (Started by Periyar -1925) until this discrimination ends.

The abolition of this sick system is possible if all are determined in our minds, We need a mindset revolution and We can accomplish it.
